How Stashwell Came to Be
Stashwell was established in Kuala Lumpur in 2018 after its founders — a small group of adult educators and community organisers — noticed a gap in the local landscape: workshops on managing money in retirement were either too technical, too fast-paced, or simply unavailable in a format suited to older adults.
The name reflects the idea of putting things in order — stashing away confusion and creating a well-organised picture of what you have. From the beginning, the focus has been on general educational content: helping people read their documents, build simple filing habits, and understand common terminology — without crossing into licensed financial advice.
Today, Stashwell serves participants from across the Klang Valley, running small-group sessions from our Bukit Bintang premises and providing large-print workbooks, planners, and community spaces that continue to serve long after the sessions end.

Founder & Lead Facilitator
Aishah has spent over 15 years designing adult education programmes in Malaysia. She founded Stashwell after facilitating retirement-readiness sessions for community groups across the Klang Valley.
Rajan Chandran
Content & Curriculum Lead
Rajan develops Stashwell's educational materials, ensuring all content remains firmly within general information and is presented at a pace appropriate for later-life learners.
Linda Wong
Community & Operations
Linda manages participant relations, community sessions, and the logistics of each programme — making sure every attendee feels welcomed and supported from enquiry to completion.

Content Boundaries
All materials are reviewed to ensure they remain general educational content — never specific financial advice. We work within Malaysia's consumer education guidelines.
Data Privacy
Participant data is collected only for programme administration. We do not share personal details with third-party organisations for commercial purposes.
Annual Content Review
Our curriculum and printed materials are reviewed each year to reflect current general knowledge, updated document formats, and participant feedback.
Accessibility Standards
All printed materials use a minimum 14pt font. Venue facilities are selected for ease of access, with step-free entry and comfortable seating arrangements.

Written feedback is gathered after every session. Results inform the next content cycle, ensuring our programmes stay relevant and genuinely useful.
No Conflict of Interest
Stashwell does not accept referral fees, product commissions, or sponsorships from financial product providers. Our content is independent educational material only.

Navigating documents, statements, and records in retirement can feel overwhelming — particularly when formats differ between institutions and terminology is never quite explained. Stashwell addresses this by teaching general document literacy and organisational habits in a structured, comfortable group setting.
Our Kuala Lumpur sessions draw participants from all backgrounds — former civil servants, business owners, and homemakers who are each, in their own way, working towards a clearer picture of their financial life. Sessions are designed with the understanding that many participants have not sat in a formal educational setting for decades, and that the material needs to feel approachable before it can feel useful.
The large-print planners, checklists, and organising templates that form part of the Toolkit programme are produced in Malaysia and designed to sit comfortably on a desk or kitchen table — practical tools for everyday use rather than decorative materials that get filed away and forgotten.
The multi-session Literacy Programme represents our most comprehensive offering, covering a broad range of topics across several group meetings. A certificate of attendance is provided upon completion — a tangible acknowledgement of the time and thought each participant has invested.
